2025 Annual General Meeting

Tokai Japan Canada Society (TJCS) will hold its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 9, 2025 (Sun).


This year's AGM will be held on a Sunday afternoon in order to accommodate as many Members as possible.

Meeting Details

Date: March 9, 2025 (Sun)

Time: 14:00 ~ 15:00
Place: Winc Aichi (Conference Room 905)

Dress: Casual

The AGM typically includes some or all of the following business matters:

  • Report on the Election of the Board;
  • Annual Report from the President;
  • Approval of the financial statements for the previous fiscal year;
  • Approval of the audit report for the previous fiscal year;
  • Other business deemed appropriate by the Board or raised by any Member having voting rights.

The AGM is open to all current TJCS Members in good standing, but please note that it is an exclusive event for Members only.


There is no cost to attend the AGM.


Voting Members who are unable to attend may assign their voting rights to a proxy (typically, this will be the sitting President).


After the meeting, there will be an optional networking session with light refreshments.

Pre-registration is required for both the AGM and the after party.

After Party Details

Following the AGM (from 15:00~16:30), we will host an optional networking party.


Cost: ¥2,000 (incl. tax) per person and will include:

  • light refreshments
  • drinks (including a limited selection of alcoholic beverages will be available)


To attend the after party, please indicate your participation when registering via the form below.

About Voting Rights:

Memberships with voting rights include:

  • Corporate Members (primary representative)
  • Small Business Members (primary representative)
  • Individual Regular Members
  • Family Members (1 vote per family)
  • Individual Life Members


Memberships without voting rights:

  • Student Members
  • Affiliate Corporate Members
  • Associate Members


Membership Renewal:

  • Individual, Family, Associate, and Student Memberships are renewed annually on the anniversary of joining.
  • If your membership has lapsed, you will need to pay the current year's dues to re-activate it.
  • Receiving email newsletters and event invitations does not constitute active membership status.

Themed around the enchanting Northern Lights (better known as Aurora in Japan), this event was a celebration of our society's two decades of fostering Canada-Japan relations.
